I can fly!
Guss decided to take the hawk wing to fly off the chicken coup with them, the first thing I knew Guss had cut his hands getting the hawks wings to use to fly off the chicken coup like the hawks. He got in his head that he could fly like the hawks.

The government put out word for all the sheep men to kill half their sheep. The government decides that there was an abundance of sheep and that if some of the sheep were killed that the price would go up. The sheep men did kill some of their sheep; they left them on the ground to rot. Bud, Chick and I, also the children went out to where the died sheep were and pull the wool off the sheep, we took some of their meat for the dogs to eat.

I washed that sheep wool in soapy water, then I would put it in rinse water, then back to hot soapy water, I had to do that several times to get all the oil out of the wool. Then I laid the wool on screen racks so the wool would dry. After the wool was dry, we had to pull it. A lot of work in getting the wool ready to use. Mama had a lot of worn out jeans of the boys and I made several quilts using the wool and the jeans.
