brick ranch

Don and Maggie were living on the brick Ranch that was on the river by Rangely. Rector owned it. (Rector was a wealthy man at that time) Papa came and got mama and took her to the Brick Ranch. (It was called the brick ranch because the house was made of bricks)

Papa left Robert, Gene there until school was out. They were old enough to take care of themselves. All I had to do was cook and wash for them. Papa took Toots and Johnny with them. When school was out papa came and took us to the Brick Ranch.

Doris was alone up on Douglas Creek on the Cross-Ranch. She was about to give birth to Dorothy (Potty) when Charlie came in and delivered the baby. I do not know where Milton was. A lot of things happened while I was living on the Brick Ranch. Here are some that I can remember.

divorce
Papa took me to Meeker to file for a divorce. Frank got out of Worland, and moved to Denver. He met a woman with four children and wanted to marry her. He wrote me a letter asking for a divorce. I wrote back and told him that I had already started the divorce in Meeker. About 20 years later I met this woman.
