When we first move to the house on Brighton Blvd., my children had trouble with the neighbor hood children. One night they ganged up on Bobby, it seemed like all the kids in the neighbor hood was there. Dorothy and I went out there, we were going to make it a fair fight, and Bobby was to fight just one Boy. Dorothy and I were trying to keep all the other kids back so there would be enough room for them to fight. Bobby was getting the better of the boy. The boy’s sister sticks her finger in Bobby eye. Dorothy lit into that girl and they fought, up and down, and across the street. A neighbor on the other side of the street from us came out and stop the fight.
“We never had any more trouble with the kids in the neighbor hood. Dorothy and that girl became the best of friends. I was pregnant with Stanley at the time. I would have fought that girl if Dorothy hadn’t”.
