That was the winter that I had to go to Vernal to have Bobby, Feb. 24, 1934. I was there about month. It was a good thing that I went to Vernal; Bobby had a cord wrapped around his neck when he was born. I am not sure just what happened, but I think the doctor push Bobby back and reached in and removed the cord from Bobby neck. If Bobby had keep coming he would had chock to death. The doctor gave me morphine for the after birth pain and I was floating on air from the morphine. I would not take any more of his morphine. I suffered with the pain.

After Bobby was born I went back to the homestead. We raised chicken and we lived on those chickens all winter and some food that I had can from the garden.
